Rattle gives you something almost no other cast puzzle does: audio feedback. Something moves inside, and you can hear it. Whether that helps or actively misleads you is the point of the design.

Most solvers spend their first session chasing the sound, convinced it's telling them something. It usually isn't.

The appeal

It's a more sensory puzzle than the rest of the range — you're using hearing as well as sight and touch, which changes how you think about it. People who've plateaued on standard cast puzzles often find Rattle re-engages them.
