Equa is built on balance and symmetry, and that's exactly what makes it hard. When both halves of a puzzle look the same, you lose your reference points — you can't tell whether you've made progress or just rotated back to where you started.

Solvers tend to report going in circles for a long while before spotting the asymmetry that actually matters.

Difficulty context

Level 5 of 6. Above Level 3 (an evening) and below Level 6 (Grand Master). This is the tier where cast puzzles stop being a diversion and start being a project.
