Passione – Love Is A Smoke Playing Cards (Printed by LPCC) is an artistic, character-driven deck that blends Italian illustration with premium playing card craftsmanship from Legends Playing Card Company (LPCC).

Created by Passione, a collective led by Riccardo Conturbia and Maurizio Toccafondi, the goal of this project was to connect the playing card industry with the incredible talent of Italian artists. The result is a deck that feels more like a mini art gallery than a standard pack of cards.

Illustrated by Marco Guerrieri, the court cards take you on a journey from the twilight of the 19th century to the roaring 1960s, introducing a cast of mysterious and seductive characters:

Hearts represent love, romance, and seduction.
Spades are dangerous, powerful, and not to be challenged.
Clubs symbolise ambition, social rise, and strong connections.
Diamonds represent wealth, refined taste, and true style.

The Jokers tell a subtle wartime story, reflecting uncertainty, longing, and the fragility of life — a powerful narrative rarely seen in traditional playing cards.

This deck was originally released as an ultra-rare Christmas Edition (2014) with a print run of only 100 decks, before being slightly redesigned and officially produced in 2015 through a Kickstarter campaign, and printed by LPCC (Legends Playing Card Company) to ensure world-class handling and print quality.
