Martyrs Playing Cards by Daniel Madison

Martyrs Playing Cards by Daniel Madison, created in collaboration with Ellusionist, represent one of the four faces of Madison's Confessions series: a collection exploring truth, honour, freedom, and consequence. This deck reflects the darker, sacrificial side of human nature, revealing that nobody is ever entirely virtuous-nor entirely corrupt. To be human is to face both extremes, and only the brave confess it.

Martyrs carry the same refined, crushed-stock handling that Madison decks are celebrated for, balancing minimalist elegance with deeply intricate design work. The deck's signature two-logo back design is forged into a detailed monogram, while the custom Ace of Spades unites themes from the other three decks in the Confessions series.

But the heart of this deck lies in its authenticity: each of the 52 cards contains a real anonymous confession submitted by someone seeking forgiveness. Brutal, honest, and deeply human-Martyrs is more than a deck... it's a window into the secrets we carry.

Perfect for collectors of Madison's work, Ellusionist fans, cardists craving premium handling, and anyone drawn to storytelling through design.
