When the ceremonial golden spike was driven into the ground at Promontory Point, Utah, it marked the connection of the Union Pacific and Central Pacific railroads, ushering in a new era of expansion, commerce, and industrial progress across the United States.

Each deck has been meticulously illustrated using a traditional cross-hatch engraving technique, echoing the style of 19th-century lithographs and historic engravings from the time period.
