The name and release date of a new Pokémon TCG expansion set have been confirmed. "Paradise Dragona" will be released in Japan on September 13, 2024.

In April 2024, Pokémon Japan filed a trademark for the name "Paradise Dragona." Given the consistency with previous set name trademarks, it was highly anticipated that this set would carry the same name.

As the name suggests, this set will likely focus on Dragon-type Pokémon. Though not yet confirmed, it is widely expected that Hydrapple and Archaludon will be featured. Hydrapple, a Grass/Dragon-type, and Archaludon, a Steel/Dragon-type, were both introduced in the Indigo Disk DLC of the Pokémon Sword and Shield video games.
